An About-Face!

Here’s my old “About” blurb.

If asked by anyone from high school, this blog is proof of having it all!

It’s my solid “demonstrated social media experience” if asked by potential employers.

In addition and in its own special hyperactively inefficient way, it will be dedicated to the often unappreciated proper and common nouns in my life.

I’m into bulleted little known facts now.

• My unwed mother stood in her room on her head for hours when she found herself in “a family way”. Bless her.
• The supernatural expectation was I’d roll out of her mouth and my grandmother would never know she got knocked up.
• Spoiler alert: It didn’t work.
• 21 months later I got an invite to the wedding.
• I said ‘yes’ when she asked me to be her flower girl.
• My parents are still together.
• This blog is about them letting me live with them rent-free while I unlearn being an ESL teacher and sort out my publishing career instead.
• *NEW LITTLE KNOWN FACT* My mother was a Britannica Encyclopedia door-to-door sales man for three or four doors.
